Zimbabwe has been left with only a cosmetic Independence. But our people are showing strength of character By Brian Chibvongodze Under normal circumstances, a sovereign country is supposed to have both Independence and Freedom. Sovereign countries like England, France, United States of America, South Africa, e.t.c, have both Independence and Freedom. But this has not been the case for Zimbabwe. Paradoxically, Zimbabwe as a country has independence, but it does not have freedom. Whereas; the two ideas, Independence and Freedom are intertwined and interdependent with each other.
