Zimbabwean Lawyer Advocate Simba Chitando is never far from the news.
After weeks of controversy over the Zanu-PF Sandton Branch - for which he is chairman - and the issue of the Zimbabwe Exemption Permits - Chitando went another giant step into the depths of litigation - by suing the United States Of America President Joe Biden in a case that is now proving too hot to handle at the Johannesburg North High Court.
Chitando gained newsmaker status when he publicly challenged South African Minister Aaron Motsoaledi - an issue which many now cite as having been the reason for the downward precipitation of the ZEP permits.
Case number 5095 / 2022 at the High Court - is showing that The Zimbabwe Anti-Sanctions Movement - led by Rutendo Matinyarare - saying that the ZASM would sue President Joe Biden and (in)surprisingly a bunch of South African financial institutions, including banks and international corporates.
