Chapter Ten: There Is No Balance, All Or Nothing: David Choe
Why do results matter? Well Simple.
Why do results matter? Well Simple. There Are A number Of Reasons Why
By Aubrey Mavhuli
“There is no balance, all or nothing,” David Choe, American artist, musician, former journalist and podcast host from Los Angeles.
This is the closhing chapter for the book, the book Results or Nothing! Results are the goal that we aim for.
If a man starts off with no aim any result he harvests will be good enough.
Beware of anything that is just good enough, it might not be good enough at all.
I have heard in the corridors of corporates in somewhat hushed tones people saying, “results aren’t everything,” but as the author of a book that celebrates results over effort I am sure you will understand when I say this.
Consider sending your children to school and no child passes that year, is that the results you want?
Consider buying a bus ticket for a bus that drops you off hallway to your destination, will the drop off halfway to your destination matter?
Consider going to hospital or to a doctor who gives you medication with no chance of treating you, perhaps gives a placebo for everything.
Results matter. Results drive our lives
We sit in comfortable chairs in our houses, the result of completed workmanship. We live inside our beautiful houses the result of completed craftsmanship.
Results matter, excuses don’t. Results got no alibis and excuses are always looking for some.
Why do results really matter?
Results move life
Results end in accomplishments. If we tried something and we really harnessed results, we feel good and grow in confidence which helps us in order to accomplish more.
Results earn you respect
If you want people to admire you and give enough respect towards you make a habit of giving results for whatever you do. Talk is cheap but results say it all. Results speak volumes for themselves.
Results pay
Any person or contractor who is adept at delivering results will attract enough work and clients and charge handsomely with no issue at all.
The loudest demand for payment is in the results provided.
Results gives you promotion
Occasionally people do get promoted for the wrong reasons but that’s not the norm, if the truth be told promotion is given to the employee who has more or better results than others.
If you want to be recognised at the workplace become a results person.
Politics may win you favour some of the time but an employee who gives results makes the seniors look good and competent, become one of them.
Results make you famous
Think of some of the world’s most famous people what are they famous for? They have made a habit of delivering high and quality results.
Results is the true measure of success. If a man or woman can produce results, they are a success. If a man or woman are progressively realising results, they are a success.
The real question is are you producing results in your effort?
