Canon Collins Trust have awarded over 4000 scholarships to students in over nine countries in the SADC region up to date By Nomazulu Moyo Founded in 1981 by the British Defense and Aid Fund (BDAF) to assist South African and Namibian political refugees in gaining the education denied to them by the apartheid government Canon Collins Trust have awarded over 4000 scholarships to students in over nine countries in the SADC region up to date. This South Africa-based NGO has announced 57 new university scholarships in fields relating to social justice for the 2023 academic year, bringing its total investment in the country to nearly R300 million since 2004. The scholarships are mostly at the postgraduate level.
