Why is Africa failing to realise its full potential after so many years of independence? Here is my answer to all the African people. The reason why Africa is the poorest continent in the world can be primarily identified during the liberation struggle. The core reason why Africans went to war was because of suppression and slavery. The political and social living conditions drove men and women to go against the colonizer. It is clear and straightforward that liberation or independence of African countries was not economical but for positions in the public domain. The living standards of an average African tells it all.
