UN Expresses Concern over Zimbabwe’s Flawed Elections

Last week's elections in Zimbabwe have come under scrutiny from various international organizations due to serious irregularities and alleged violations of democratic principles.
The United Nations (UN) has now joined other regional, continental, and international observers, including the Southern African Development Community (SADC), African Union (AU), and European Union (EU), in expressing concern over the conduct of the elections.
In a statement attributable to the spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Florencia Soto Niño-Martínez, the UN expressed concern about multiple issues surrounding the elections.
