Saturday’s victory saw the Young Warriors going on top of Group A with four points, the same with second place occupiers Botswana, who beat hosts Mozambique 2-1 in the other group fixture.

Despite winning the match, Zimbabwe’s coach Simon Marange believes they still need to work hard going into the last group game against Botswana this Monday.

“Our victory has just opened the group for everyone, there is still a lot of work to do.So we have to sit and watch Mozambique playing and I am confident we will come up with a plan ahead of Monday,” said Marange.

“A very poor performance, today nothing seemed to be clicking, but we have to look forward, we have the last game to play for.

“So, we have to keep on going and focus on the coming game against Botswana,” he said.

The tournament will see the top team from the three groups progressing to the semi-finals together with one second best finisher.
